Episode Twelve: Moving On Up

Daisy wakes up early this morning, receiving a text from Penny 

'Morning. Here's the number for Emily's Foster Home - this is where Penelope is. Good luck"

Butterflies in her stomach, Daisy gets dressed and dials the number. A sweet-voiced woman answers the phone and introduces herself as Emily. Daisy begins by asking some questions about the location of the Foster home and then asks to visit. 

Emily asks what her reason for visiting is, and Daisy pauses. Emily seems to understand that she does not want to answer, and instead invites her to the home tomorrow for a chat. Daisy accepts and is excited: tomorrow she will see her now child-aged daughter, and begin the conversation about her coming home.

After the success of the phone call, Daisy gets ready to head over to her interview.  

The interviewer seems to like Daisy from the off, complimenting her impressive recommendation from Penny. After impressing them with her work ethic and knowledge, she returns home with the offer to start as a dishwasher in the kitchen, working Mon-Fri, 9-5, on $15 an hour! Hooray! 

Plus, with the knowledge that she has a better income starting after Christmas (in 3 days), it's time to pack up and move to a better apartment! 

This is so amazing! Daisy finally has a better apartment! She had 2,147 in her bank, and pays 1000 for a deposit on the new apartment. Combined with selling her kitchen and bathroom appliances and getting back her deposit for the old flat, she is able to buy some extra bits for the apartment and has 698 leftover...

 So, allow her to show you around...

The open floorplan in the living room and kitchen makes it look a lot more spacious - there is even finally a dining room table! 

The yellow and purple kitchen may look mismatched, but actually suits really well with Daisy's colourful personality and love for cooking

The bathroom has the essentials and is a nice blue colour 

And Daisy's bedroom is a lot more fleshed out, with a dresser and some plants too! 

Finally, there's a small extra room which can hopefully soon be Penelope's room! 

Not long after moving in, Daisy decides to invite Luna over 

She greets her friend and shows her around the new apartment 

Finally feeling ready to share more with her friend, Daisy explains the true situation of her life... She explains more about why she moved from her mother's house and had to live in a small and run-down apartment while she earned some money 

Then, she breaks the news about Penelope. Luna is shocked to discover that her best friend has a secret daughter, but also understands and supports her decision to give her up until she could properly care for her 

Luna promises to do anything and everything she can to help Daisy and her daughter, once she returns to her, live a good and happy life. She can't wait to meet her! 

After some more chatting about slightly less heavy topics, the girls say goodbye to one another

And Luna heads home, with some ideas for Christmas brewing in her mind... 

Daisy doesn't get long to herself though, as her friendly new neighbours head over to say hello - including Luna's friend and the one who gave her the makeover, Jesminder! 

Daisy greets her neighbours and graciously accepts the fruitcake they offer her - they get to know each other a little and Daisy is happy to have such friendly neighbours 

Then, as the day turns to night, Daisy enjoys her fruitcake (she's a rare sim who likes it!) and some TV 

Before heading to bed, both excited and nervous to meet her daughter tomorrow... 

How will the visit go? Will Daisy be able to confess her true identity to Emily? And will Emily accept her request to bring her daughter home?
